Belt & disc sander

Please can anyone advise me I'm about to purchase a belt & disc sander I have got my heart set on the jet jsg 96 can anyone advise if it is good or not and the best place to buy from any advise will be welcome Does anyone have one of these machines so they can advise me one way or the other

Hello Geoff and welcome aboard I'm not going to be of much help, but I think Teepeg may have just bought the Jet in the last couple of weeks, I don't know if he's had chance to play with it yet. I bought the Clarke CS6-9C last year, does it's job OK and I use it regularly, it came with one smallish table which needs checking every time you use it. It's big and heavy so spends it's life on a manoeuvrable base

Thanks for the reply peteG looked at the Clarke one myself I have stuff from Clarke but for some reason iv'e got my heart set on the jet {but just a bit scared if I waste my money} for that kind of money it should last a good number of years that's why I wanted to hear from someone with the jet machine, but any comments are welcome I like to ask experienced people for advice.By the way my wife is buying it me for xmas
