Hi Pete.

If your on a slow Internet line and you want to watch videos, you could try these for a bit of help.

You can use the Mozilla FireFox browser with DownloadHelper, instead of MS Explorer. It won't make your line any faster, but you can download videos and watch them later at your leisure.

Once you have installed Firefox you go to the Mozilla add-on page and download DownloadHelper which integrates into Firefox. Then when you open a page that contains a video like You-Tube you click on the DownloadHelper button and you get a menu that asks if you want to download to your computer. Just be careful with the menu because it gives you the choice of all downloadable patches on the page. Just choose the one you want.

Of course if you download from YouTube you will need a 'flv' viewer, but there are plenty around.

I use Opera as my main browser....wouldn't give IE space if I could easily remove it. I do have firefox on my machine however so I'll try the add on.

I have a regular speed of 33 kbps as I am on a dial up party liner would yopu believe. Too far from the nearest substation apparently.

Pete
