Axminster Chucks, are they worth the money

Dear All
I have a record Record Power SC4 Chuck on my lathe. The accessory jaws seem to have a slight runout. The body of the Chuck seems ok. I have fitted the jaws loose then tightened the Chuck then a final tighten of the jaws To centre them.
Its not too bad a runout but its there. I have some long jaws which seem worse but I think this might be a manufacturing fault.
My question is. Do any of you have the Axminster SK114 or SK100 Chuck if so what do you think of it. Do you have another make to which you can compare it to, and if so how well do they match up. If the replies favour Axminster I may well upgrade.

Is worth considering. It's possible that your chuck or slides are at fault not the jaws - you could try slides to suit them and find out. If you choose Axminster/Versachuck slides they fit both jaw sets and Versachuck jaws are much cheaper than Axminster's.

Thanks. I’ve looked at the Versachuck site. Very interesting. I might go down that route instead of an Axminster.
