Been phoning round local tree surgeons recently in the hope of finding one to supply some logs for turning.
Finally found someone not to far away with plenty who was willing.
So finally got some logs that i now know what they are, thanks to the tree surgeon, still looked the same to me
Fill your trailor and give us a tenner,he said.
No need to say the trailor was full :D
Got some nice lumps of Apple,Yew,Oak,Laburnam,Flowering Cherry  and Ash.
Some of the trunks, and root balls he had were huge which he said if i wanted he would cut some slabs off for me :D If only i had the room :(
So one happy bunny :D

Well done,Paul - sounds like the best tenner you'll ever spend :D

What's the plan now? Label them all,or stack them by species?
Or are you destined for a couple of months of green turning ?

Mind you i've started me garden bench now for the competition,so that will have to take a back seat for now
I am going to try and go back again some time soon with the unknown timbers i'd had before to see if he can I.D. them for me :D
