I’ve had a Triton Workcentre for some years now with various of the accessories including router table. In table saw mode, I have no problems with the cross cut set up which generally works well except for the limited width when cutting sheets.
My major gripe is when it is set up in rip saw mode. The splitter/guard tends to tilt slightly when cutting, especially if a vacuum hose if fitted to the extraction port, and the splitter blade is slightly wider than the kerf on some of my circular saw blades. The upshot is that the wood sometimes catches on the splitter and either pushes it back or the wood stops altogether. Has anyone tried doing away with the splitter and guard altogether, re-fitting the riving knife on the saw and then fitting some sort of guard on the riving knife?
