Sorry, not the best off pics. They are steel, identical, about 12" x 2" x 1" and all the holes appear to be the same size.
 
Machinist parallel bars, often made as apprentice test pieces, - well thats why I made mine.
Never used them as I wasn't a machinist.
 
They are engineering parallel blocks. Used like a pair of winding sticks to check for twist in long flat sections and welded structures, and also as a flat and parallel base datum when checking dimensions on irregular shaped parts. The vee channels allow the checking of round sections for twist and warp. The inspection department in my day job has loads of these from tiny matchbox size ones to massive RSJ size ones. All necessary for work in the aerospace industry.
