planning on making a fitted cabinet and a wall hung cabinet to go in the alcove at the top of the stairs.
Was planning on building a solid timber frame for the lower fitted cabinet but not sure what thickness of mdf to use for the doors, shelves and the caucus of the wall cabinet.
Will be MR MDF I am using. Initial thoughts 12mm for the doors with a further 6mm clued on to give the effect of raised panels.
Now I am thinking 12mm will be to thin for the car us of the wall unit so is 15mm or 18mm my best bet?
Approx dimensions of the space I'm working in is 900mm wide by 640mm deep - the wall cabinet will be about 800mm wide and 40mm deep and will be constructed using 3 vertical sections with a top and bottom capping them off - biscuits and glued.
Any thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated.
