Adding a digital read out to a Scheppach hms 260ci PT

Can anyone advise on a suitable product to add a digital read out (at a convenient location) to a Scheppach hms 260ci PT ? Is something like this http://www.arceurotrade.co.uk/Catalogue/Measurement/Digital-Readouts-with-Dedicated-Remote-Display suitable ? (apart from it being out of stock currently !) -- a major requirement is that it is easy to fit.

Any advice gratefully received.

Hi,

I can't comment on whether they are any good or not, as I have as yet not fitted mine to my Planer/Thicknesser. But when trawling the web looking for a similar thing I turned up the following:

Actually, following a link from your first link to http://www.machine-dro.co.uk/woodwo...e-planer-readout-with-fractions-300mm-12.html I think this would be more suitable, as the remote display would be much easier to read.

Does anyone else have any thoughts as to alternatives or any advice ?

If you do a google search on those you will find a few reviews / users of them, and they are quite well liked.

Axminster do one for around £25 but they are out of stock at the moment. It's demonstrated on one of Peter Parfett's videos.

They do, but the type axi sell are machine specific. Not sure if you could change the bush to suit the spindle size on the scheppach or any other machines.
