Strangely enough..., 2 years back now i made a functioning guitar.
Not pretty, admittedly. I used a failed jewellery box with mahogany top. Strapped a solid walnut neck to it. Fitted ONE string (fretless) and electrified it with volume and tone.
Somebody told me i couldnt make a guitar, and thats a silly thing to do :roll:
One string guitars were around over a 100 years ago, used by black slaves in america. They were called Diddley Bows. There are a couple utube videos of them being played, but not by me =D> .
I'm getting restless with boxes, I have a stack of them in the wardrobe now. I'm trying to find someone who wants a small cabinet or other piece of furniture that i can make for them (our house will not accept any more furniture).
Does this mean I am growing up? :shock: :shock: 8)
