Axminster, Nova / Record and Sorby all well-regarded, as is the flexible offering Versachuck from The Toolpost, (I've got 2 of these and happy with them), plus a Nova that I need to get an insert to fit lathe - thanks for the reminder!
If you go for the Versachuck you have the choice of whose jaws you use (more than one maker, if you wish) and you can just change the back plate if you upgrade your lathe (which, if you get on well you will). Expensive - but cheap in the end.
