    Regarding the S.T.S Drill, I had some difficulty unscrewing the inline handle to try it in the Pistol-grip attitude, until I found that the thread is a Left Hand Thread ! In the altered position the drill is very compact, and a pleasure to use. Alvan Æ

    The second item is a Padsaw Handle. The hook engages with a tooth and the notch pushes the back of the (broken hacksaw) blade. I had a similar item with cast iron frame/handle.

    Easy, cheap & useful mod to Combination Gauge.

    Cut or file a notch at both ends of the rule, to take a pencil point. or even a ball point pen tip. You then have a free panel or marking gauge. This is so easy to register in the groove of the rule. Æ

    I use these blades, and I bought a few from B & Q on sale some time ago. I use them with the handles from the saw kits originally sold by Woolworths (with rubbish blades). I often find the handles complete with with rusty blades at car boot sales, so I snap them up.

    Easy door hanging:- Insert garden spade tip under door and tread on handle to adjust height. Accurate to a thou'. Makes for simple hinge screwing.
