12mm into half inch doesn't go?

I know it's an old post but had a similar issue. Fixed it though, Dewalt do sell a 12mm Collet to fit a 1/2" DW625/E I think it may be a euro product only though but you can get them. http://www.mtmc.co.uk/Dewalt-Router-Col ... 37287.aspx

    Extendable Table Butterfly Opening

I've been asked to make an extendable dining table for my boss to repay him for all the Corian he's bought for me. He know's what he wants, however that entails having a butterfly opening/extension system, I'm sure you'r all familiar with these, but if not check out the link...

    Amazon.com

What a great place to import your tools, fair enough theres a few things that it wont allow but still some bargains to be had. My brother lives in California and I used to get him to import me the odd bit of kit, but it was a ball ache for him packing it and shipping it, then I had the hassle...

To float, or not to float?

I think you make an interesting point though, everything I've ever learnt and been taught about wood tells me if it has nowhere to move it will crack or warp. After speaking to a mate I learn he's seen a few floors cracked and damaged by using floor adhesive. He said he'd never stick a floor...

To float, or not to float?

Parquet flooring is made up of small pieces, there's less chance of movement with small bits of wood. They have been sticking hardwood floors down for donkeys years. It's a trusted method. I have no issue with it. Floating is ok too, I'm worried about doing large areas, say 5 meters across...

To float, or not to float?

http://www.ukflooringdirect.co.uk/info/ ... loors.html All the hardwood flooring in the Dorchester was stuck down using flooring adhesive to a screed floor. The idea is the floor doesn't move as its 100% stuck.

To float, or not to float?

Yes typical me, speed read, reply get laughed at! Last floor I used a flexible adhesive called rewmar, the guy had already bought it but it was good stuff.

To float, or not to float?

Strangley enough, after miss reading a thread in here about hanging a door, thinking he said laying a floor! I had a phone call to go look at house where the homeowner requires about 80sq Mtrs of hardwood flooring laying. The guys planning on buying t&g oak floor. I usually lay a floor using...

How do you measure up to fit a door?

I usually start on the longest wall with least obstructions, depending on the floor your laying I'd leave more than 3mm, I recently seen an oak t&g floor move 20mm. Lots of factors involved in you laying this floor, what material is the floor for starters, how your choosing to lay the floor EG...

Perfect, didn't think of that. Think that'll do the trick nice n cheap too!

    Waterproof Tool Bag

Nice bag, but won't fit a panel saw in bit pricey too! I'm currently using a plumbing type tool bag which is a great size just not waterproof. I tend to just keep only what I need for joisting in it. Probably better just getting a cover of some type, that way it'll cover my circular too.

    Waterproof Tool Bag

Been doing quite a few sets of joists of late, and sooner or later will be roofing, I'm sick of covering my tool bag with dpc or plastic sacks to keep them dry when it rains. I cant seem to find a waterproof tool bag, or even a waterproof cover. Im not after anything to posh or expensive just...

    Worksharp 3000 discs.

Tormek is more expensive that's why I'm going for the cheaper Scheppach 2500 far more versatile than the 3000, does more costs less! Has leather buffer too for that mirror finish your wood working associates like! I use chisels for various rips out sometimes on refurbs you hit nails, the...

    Worksharp 3000 discs.

I agree the worksharp will sharpen chisels very well, however for less money you can have a sharpening system that will not only sharpen your chisels, but re grind a whole face at any angle you wish, in less than half the time of the ws! For a minute I did consider popping to my friends to use...

    Worksharp 3000 discs.

Ok here's a question then, let's pretend you wish to alter the whole angle of your chisel as its not suitable for you from 27deg to 25. This has occurred due to to not setting the jig on a tormek a year back. How long to regrind the whole face of your chisel? According to worksharp customer...

    Worksharp 3000 discs.

So I recently purchased the w/s 3000, since I've had it I have came to the conclusion its not what I thought it was, but the strange thing is I have read nothing of the issues I have with it in any review. I know its great for sharpening chisels, that is as long as the chisels are at the correct...
