    Sedgwick LK saw dismantle

Great thanks. I think I am more inclined to remove the wheel mechanism. The pin might be really hard to get out. You seem to need very thin arms to reach everything! Please see the photos. Do I still need to remove the three bolts shown?

    Sedgwick LK saw dismantle

Hi, Couldn't find a thread on this so started a new post. I have a Sedgwick LK (photos attached). I need to get it out of the workshop and hence through a narrow door. So I am trying to remove the top table. I am stumped as to how to get it off. I have removed the four bolts underneath in each...

    Elektra Beckum TF100 Splindle Moulder

It's been a while but I have an update. Having spoken to the capacitor manufacturers, I obtained and fitted a new one. There was no difference in function. I suspected the magnetic coil that latches the green push button switch. I dismantled the box and all seemed OK inside. I then dismantled...

    Elektra Beckum TF100 Splindle Moulder

Great, I'll let you know how I get on. If it works out, I presume this machine tool is the sort of thing that would be of interest to woodworkers (?)

    Elektra Beckum TF100 Splindle Moulder

Great, thanks for the advice. Couple more questions: 1. Does the capacitor housing come apart easily? 2. Where can I get a new one or replacement (Maplin shut a few years ago) or is this a specialist component? Your comment about avoiding a jolt is noted!

    Elektra Beckum TF100 Splindle Moulder

Hi, Just discovered one of these in the workshop. 'Discovered' means I have never used it and I also had no idea what it was until I looked into it. Please see attachments. I have removed the guide arms at each end for cleaning. It looks pretty clean and has a chuck? with a blade installed...

Newbie needing advice on band saw please

I cannot see any numbers anywhere. There is a hard to read plate on the motor. It says BROOK ENGINEERING, with various motor ratings etc. It's in a really awkward place and hard to read so I'll have a go at getting some more info from it later.

Newbie needing advice on band saw please

Thanks for your replies. I have never used the band saw. I never had a need but there was rarely a blade fitted in it. It still hasn't got one fitted. I will look at the table. I don't think it tilts. Never really considered that it may be a meat saw. But is Wetter a German company? The saw...

Newbie needing advice on band saw please

Hello to all, This is my first post (just joined tonight). This is a strange one but I am trying to find out information about various wood saw machinery in a workshop I am now responsible for. I have been using most of this stuff for years (to build my own things) but never really paid any...
