    Simple Coffee Table..for mi Nan

Evening all, just thought I'd share this latest project. Just a simple spruce coffee table with tapered legs. I used my homemade mortiser to do the joinery, I'm loving it. Perfect mortices every time, making the floating tenons gets a bit tedious though . It was basically just cut parts with...

Sorry folks.. shameless Youtube channel plug ..

Sorry folks after some confusion I'm re-posting as I've had my account name changed  I've recently started a Youtube channel, covering a knock-off Festool Domino made from aluminium, and I'm currently doing a series about my monster homemade table saw. I'll be covering more woodworking...

    Campervan face frame cabinets

Hi boys and girls, thought I may as well share my ongoing project as I've not posted much on here. I'm currently converting a Transit Luton into a camper/motor home. I recently finished the interior insulation and ply lining, so I'm on to fixtures and fittings. I'm building simple face frame...

Does anyone have a CNC router?

Hi, I wondered if anyone had a CNC router and would be willing to cut me some parts. Obviously I'd expect to pay. It's just some plywood parts, no bigger than 300mm. I have sketch up plans at the minute, are they usable? Cheers Scott

    Dressing Table WIP sort of

I say sort of as there isn't much left to do lol. I intended to build this totally using loose tenon joinery, however as usual I left it to the last minute. It's a birthday present for my girlfriend, which is a week today!! In the end I thought I'd just try pocket holes, as I've had a cheapo...

    Flattening TS top

As I've just mentioned in another post, I've just bought and old table saw. Checking the top with a straight edge and it's more of an upturned bowl!! Using a square against the blade there is quite a difference on either side. Has anyone had a top flattened? TIA

    Thos.P.Headland Table Saw??

I've just bought a saw made by Thomas P Headland, and can't find any info on it at all. My searches just come up with the company details. Anyone used one or own one? It's the heaviest thing I've ever had to move!!

    Cheapo palm router

Hey guys, I was wondering if you know of any cheap palm routers. All I seem to come across are the bosch and dewalt ones. I don't want anything special, all I intend to do with it is use it in a homemade domino. As I'm sure you've seen on youtube. TIA

    MRMDF

I had to paint some MRMDF shelves at work a few weeks ago and noticed how dense it was. I give them one coat expecting the edges to fluff up, but I was amazed they didn't. All they took was another light sanding and a two top coats. This stuff was the type that's green all the way through...

    Coping saws

Hi everyone, can anyone recommend a decent coping saw. I'm currently practising dovetails and I'm using it to remove the bulk. I bought a stanley fat max one as it looked pretty sturdy. However, it just doesn't tension the blade enough. I don't want to break the bank but surely there's a decent...

    Selling one off pieces

Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to the forum but I have been woodworking as a hobby most of my life (god knows why I didn't pursue it as a career!) I was just wondering how you'd go about selling a one off piece. I built this beehive inspired chest of drawers about 4-5 months ago, and I've just...

    Ultex diamond stones

Hi, I've just bought some Ultex diamond stones and wondered if anyone could comment on their longevity. I've seen them mentioned in a couple of threads, so I thought I'd go for them. Not a bad price for a double sided stone, I got two stones for £90 from ITS. TIA

    Charnwood W852 Planer/Thicknesser setup

Hi, I've recently bought the above used. It's just a generic chinese model. It seemed great to start with, just had a quick pass over the planer. I've never used one before. As I've tried to true everything up a slight problem has appeared. I set the blades parallel to the thicknesser bed, but...

    Veneer help

Hi all, this is my first post to the forum. I've recently decided to take woodworking seriously, I've always done it but lacked tools, space etc. Just bought a planer/thicknesser which is awesome. And I've got my garage setup as a decent hobby type workshop. I'm making a set of drawers, and...
