    Holly Tree

Any branches about one inch thick make brilliant shanks for walking/hiking sticks. They need the bark taking off but as hard as iron once dry

    O-level woodwork challenge

I did O level and A level in woodwork at the local grammar school - finished in 1972 but I don’t remember this at O level. For A level I had to do a bedside cabinet, carving, lathe work and veneering which was graded by an external assessor at exam time. The actual written part of the exam...

    Photo frames

Hello gents. I’ve just had an email from my son. He’s very keen on photography and wants to know can I make him some frames for putting the photos on the wall. Well the woodwork is the easy part but he’s asking for glass. Now from a safety point of view I don’t like messing with glass but what’s...

I’ve had the proedge for years and wouldn’t be without it especially for woodturning. How else are you gonna touch up a gouge in less than ten seconds. Repeatable and accurate.

    Axminster ts250

Hello gents. I've just spent the day with my son setting up my new table saw. Just about finished when we decided to knock off for the night but I turned the machine on to have a listen to it. It's noisy, by that I mean the motor is quiet but the blade is making an awful racket. I didn't want to...
