    HNT Gordon dealers?

There is currently a group of people putting together a group buy in Australia, you might be able to tag along and get their discounts. I am pretty sure they are getting 25% off the web/listed prices, If you send me a PM I can give you the organisers contact details. Joez

    Another MDF unit (Fitted)

In Australia you can get MR MDF with a dull malemine coating designed to be spray painted. The Malemine gives you extra water proofing and the surface takes a spray finish really well. I have never used it as a bench top though, but I would say if you can source it, its a great option.

    Frustrating mitres....

How about using good old fashioned shooting board to tweak the final fit? Pretty simple to make and if you have a hand plane with a little heft and some scraps lying around you can probably make one for free. Another bonus is the glass smooth cuts left by the handplane. Theres a pretty good...

Noisy dust extraction from a Thicknesser.

My Minimax machine is the same, the jointer (its a combination machine) does the same but to a lesser extent. I run the jointer without dust collection for this reason. joez71
