    AAW Symposium

It was supposed to be held in Atlanta this year which meant l could sleep in my own bed every night, but things did not work out and they moved it to Tampa, which is about an 8 hour drive but is pretty down there if a little hot this time of year. It really is a show not to be missed, one where...

    Cloth Buffing wheels and Compounds

Terry, thank you for your input, when l buff Microcrystalline wax with a wheel l do it very gently as it does not take much to bring up a shine. To help Vic a bit more on buffing if he uses lacquer or similar finish and unless Chestnut Finishes are different you have to wait until it cures and...

    Cloth Buffing wheels and Compounds

CHJ, I have never used the Chestnut brand and l do not think it is available here in the States as l said l use the Renaissance Wax which says on the can Dries hard instantly, buff gently. I apply and buff with a cloth and then buff with the final buffing wheel. If as you say Chestnut...

    Cloth Buffing wheels and Compounds

Vic, Micro-Crystalline Wax does not behave like other waxes and will not melt and blend. With the Micro-Crystalline wax you do not wait to buff, it tells you on the can how to apply. Another advantage is it does not show water spots either. Michael

    Cloth Buffing wheels and Compounds

Vic, I use the Beall system and like it a lot. One little tip l can give is forget using the wax as it will dull in a short period of time. Instead l use Renaissance (Micro-Crystalline) Wax Polish, expensive but goes a long long way. Like Marmite use sparingly and with a light buff comes up...

    Ginger Chia

Nev, I cut the handles out on a bandsaw and carve if it is going to be on the thin side to avoid short gain breakage l look for a piece of grain that follows the shape of the handle like you may find in a crotch. Michael

Ginger Chai. This little fellow got left behind in our postings we have both moved forward in our work since this was made but still feel it needed showing as we both like its cocky stance. Made from Pear. Michael and Cynthia Comments and critiques more than welcome.

Eugene, Quote: FANTABULAS what a team as a matter of intrest what would something like that cost ,PM if you wish. Thanks, Cynthia does not want to sell this, it was more of an experiment and she wears it to demos and shows. We sell all the teapots and the smaller recent hollow...

    Cynthia's new purse

l made the base from Pear, and Cynthia burned, colored, textured and used something similar to Molly's basket brands to cover the seam. Our good friend created a little drawstring pouch for the inside. Leather was braided for the strap and copper jewelry findings were used to attach the strap to...
