Car Help - wheel rims and headlights

I wasn't sure if he'd seen a set of wheels complete with 225/70 tyres. I did read it several times as I've only ever known wheel width measured in inches and not as the tyre width. Anyway, hopefully the link might help him understand tyre sizes a bit more

Car Help - wheel rims and headlights

Be careful changing the width of your tyres 255 to 225, as keeping the same profile (70) will affect the overall size of the trye diameter. If you do change to 225 you need a 80 profile If you use the following calculator you'll see the diameter is only 3mm different between 255/70 and...

Windows XP's demise - sits back; opens popcorn

So where is the best place to get this "new" windows 7? My PC must be 6 years old now and I'm not in a position to be able to buy a new one. I need to look into this Linux thing too I think. If I install this, do I still have direct access to my photos, word docs etc or would they need putting...

See if any motor factors or body shops near you have any door seals. Should do the job. Try a scrap yard too

    Making internal household doors

Noob alert!! I'm thinking about building my own internal house doors, using the basic method in this 'how to' https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/how-tos/mis ... -door.html For the infill panel I plan on using 9 or 12mm ply. The frame will probably be approx 100mm or 125mm wide, so what to use...

Fobco Star Drill refurbishment - bearing question

If there's that much movement then the loctite probably won't work. It's really just to hold the bearing in place if you can push them in and out by hand pressure. Next idea, a feeler gauge wrapped around the bearing may take the play out, should be easy to trim to fit

Fobco Star Drill refurbishment - bearing question

I know you jokingly mentioned glueing the bearings in, but you can get bearing grade loctite to do exactly that.

    Help!!Electrolux fridge door hinges....

If it's a built-in fridge, a lot of manufacturers tend to use ingol hinges, I've bought them off ebay before for roughly £10 to £15. Also on Amazon. Probably worth swapping both at the same time

    Pillar Drill or Drill Stand

This stand has been mentioned twice in this thread so far, Bench-Mountable-Power-Drill-Plunge from Amazon and the reviews look good. However, I've seen there are 3 others on Amazon that look the same with differing reviews and prices, so not sure now if it's as good as I initially thought ...

BMW Mini Idea for Toy Car - WIP - Plans Done - More Pics

That's starting to look good now, as a MINI owner I didn't like the first attempt too much. If you're still doing a rear spoiler have a look at the MINI GP model. If you're not sure what that is, search for 'R53 MINI GP' Looking forward to seeing this finished.
