    Bosch PHO1 Planer

Hmmm, you may be right about the electricity, but it would be very difficult trying to use this with your foot!! Are you certain any 82mm blade will do the job, because none of my searches bring up the PHO1, most enfuriating. Thanks, Paul.

    Planer Knife Setting Jig

Cheers again chaps. I think i'll now be able to crack it, using a combination of all posts, i.e. once I get one edge at the requisite 2-3mm, set both jigs to that and then never, ever alter them!!! Am I the only person who thinks the "plain English board" would have a field day with a lot of...

    Planer Knife Setting Jig

Thanks for the comments chaps, I will be trying the paper method tomorrow, the problem I have found with the 2 or 3mm and piece of wood method is that I can get the wood to move the 2mm, but when I tighten the screws the blades move up and I'm back to the start (believe me, I persisted for a...

    Planer Knife Setting Jig

I bought a pair of planer knife setting jigs some time ago, and have finally got round to try and set the blades in a record planer I purchased second hand. I tried many, many times to set the blades using the 2mm, block of wood set up, but failed miserably. Basically, what I need to know is...

Cheers chaps. Wouldn't it be lovely to be able to get hold of a few tools at US prices. I found a very, very good example of a home made one, but I'm not so sure my metal work skills are up to the job. I'll keep on searching.

Does any body know anywhere in the UK that I could get hold of a decent fence for my table saw????? I'm on my third saw now, started off with a B&Q special, then a second hand Clarke, and have now splashed a bit of cash on a record TSPP250. The fence on my Record looks decent enough, but it...

    "MINI TRACK"

I am trying to get the materials together to make some table saw jigs. In a couple of the books I have, the thing that I want is described as "Mini Track", cue blank expression from elderly chap at B&Q, and lady at usually good hardware emporium. This may well be the American name for the...

    Record RPM75

You say you had, does this infer that the Record 75 is not a lot of cop, I was thinking of getting one myself.

Hello again, If there is anyone out there who owns one of the above, could they please let me know if they have been able to set the blades in less than a month, and if so, how?? I bought one from a friend of a friend of a friend without a manual, and have looked on the Record web site, but...
