'tis the season for giving! and I genuinely have no use for them.
they weren't part of my purchase decision - only found them later when I got home and the seller didn't want them back so were of no "cost" to me in the first place.
Going in the post tomorrow to Roger.
I bought a second hand lathe a few weeks back and in the box of bits and bobs that came with it there is a 2MT pen mandrel, a rotur HPM1 hand pen mill and some spare bits to go for the mill.
if someone can make use of these PM me and I'll stick them in a jiffy bag. I bought the lathe to make...
I'm a hobbyist woodworker but haven't ever done any turning. I have just bought a second hand Luna BWL 406 lathe, it's in great shape, looks like it's been well looked after but I've noticed the tailstock centre is 1 or 2 mm lower than the headstock centre.
is this a problem, do i need to work...
Spot on with the size! Yeah, if I can get a max 75 cut out of a 250 blade then I guess I could go as small as something closer 150 and still get 25mm of cut depth.
I want to buy a flat top grind 10 inch blade for doing box joints, splines etc but I can't ever seem to find enough detail in the product description to make me confident that I'm not getting a blade with an alternate bevel tooth. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good online retailer...
I've just taken delivery of a new Axminster AW10BSB2 and I'm really chuffed with it but can't get the blade to tilt right up to 90 degrees. I've checked it with a perfect 90degree engineers square and it's off, my digital bevel guage says it's only getting to 89.7 degrees.
Can anyone point me...
where should I search for a second hand saw? just had a look on the for sale board but it's a behemoth at over 200 pages. Gumtree's so far been fruitless too. I'm in Central Scotland so van hire and a tank of diesel (or two depending on distance) would need to be factored in.
Cheers

I've been psyching myself up for a good few months now to take the plunge and buy a nice cabinet type saw since my cheap and rather crappy...
