I keep trying to move the various bits on the lathe around and keep reaching for the levers in all the wrong places, I will soon get in the routine of where the levers are on this one.

I ran it for about 1 1/4hrs before using it while I was tiding the shed, and the obligatory cuppa after installing it. I had to use some 30W oil(as recommended in their instructions) but will be getting some of records own oil.

I'm with Deejay on this one - any good quality 30W oil will be fine :)

I bought mine secondhand and can't remember what oil came with it. As I run an old Land Rover I've been using gear oil in the lathe for years now, GL4 spec which doesn't harm phosphor bronze bushes in gearboxes.
