Competitiion WIP, Beginner's dining table

Interestingly, in researching the 'net to see what is out there, I discovered a shaker dinging table with a 20mm top This isn't the same one. I have a stack of pine, and thought I'd make a prototype from it. I'll post pics of progress RSN, but the pine is arrissed so I've trimmed it on...

Puzzles It is perfectly possible you have some exceptionally gifted young people in that group. Trevor Tao, who was then an autistic teenager from South Australia came equal second in the Australian (Chess) Championship a few years ago. He's also a gifted musician and mathematician. He has two...

Brand new Triton Router (TRA001) for sale.

On the contrary, I invite people to view the posts to the other forum and make their own minds up. I really don't care who knows more than I do about anything, probably a good many know more about even those things about which I am most expert.. What does bug me is people making wild...

There are books describing how do do kitchen cabinetry, amongst other things they describe fitting cabinets snugly, methods of hanging them, and ensuring they seem level to the floor. I suggest you check out your local libraries and bookshops.

Brand new Triton Router (TRA001) for sale.

Unlike Ray, I will name names. I feel he's taking a shot at me. I'm johncs on the Australian forum. Ray is rayintheuk The only employee of GMCA I know of who participates in the forum, and one Ray alludes to, is Eagle. I invite any interested to view the postings of the three of us and make up...

Brand new Triton Router (TRA001) for sale.

TRA001 isn't exactly obsolete, it was still current when Triton last traded. The problem with Triton is it's parent, GMC Australia went slightly belly up. The administrators sold the assets to a consortiom, er, including some of the previous GMC Australia management in Feb/March. Further...

    Blade Stiffener?

Sounds like you might have read the same magazine I did. The question I have, "What about your riving knife?" I'm not removing mine, it's too much trouble, so I don't think I will be buying thin or thick blades for my saw.

Osborne 1, NEC APC, C/CPM-86, WordStar Professional. I think I've got Z80 (inside a Microprofessor) and 8086 (replaced one with a compatible NEC cpu) CPUs here someplace.

My way to fix the mess we are in !!!

Well buy an Australian one then, and help us along. It's crazy, we can design and build cars but we can't make nails.

For me, I have confidence. I do not normally use Windows. If I did, I most certainly would not use Internet Exploder. Instead, I'd download and use Firefox or Seamonkey. If I did use Windows, I'd keep current with updates. ff I did use Windows, I would most certainly not use an account with...

Router table end grain jig - far too simple!

Calm down there, if you'd read the thread more closely you'd see I had read the thread. It just didn't save me from becoming a little confused when I returned later. I also discovered & adjusted my error before I saw your response.

Before doing anything of this kind, talk to a lawyer. If the client does go broke, you don't want to be pursued by a cranky administrator. A lawyer will tell you what your rights are, what actions you can lawfully take, and if he's wrong your legal opinion will help ameliorate any action...

RJP You should talk to a lawyer, offering a dud check may amount to fraud. It's worth asking, maybe on the invoice, for an affirmation that funds are available.

I've though about this for my prospective plans. I'm thinking matching bevelled rails should work. Have some thought about how they might be removed in the future.

    being bumped.

Here, a clause to the effect "goods are mine until paid for" is effective. I'd guess it should be in quotes and invoices. Regular invoicing should help. Goods are not used until paid for, work ceases if there's a payment delay. We had some landscaping done a while back. There was a fair bit of...

Competition WIP - bed & desk. updated

Those are long legs... I have twin daughters. When that were small (I don't remember _how_ small, maybe as soon as they could climb a ladder) we bought bunk beds for them. The suite included a desk. The beds were pretty much standard beds, and one could be stacked on the other, using steel...

    A pair of butter pats

Nice, takes me back to the 50s. Mrs Oldfield had some, and hand-operated churn. I use oil from the pantry to re-oil our cutting boards. In our case, it's olive oil (from Italy, it's cheaper than ours!).

    Competitiion WIP, Beginner's dining table

I found the forum about 12 hours before competition entries closed, and I decided to enter, but needed a project in a hurry. The dining table was on the todo list, but I planned on trying it maybe next year, after another term or two learning this stuff. About the only thing I am sure I can do...
