    There was a very young oak tree growing in my garden but it had to ve cut down as it was affecting the other plants around it. It is about as thick as your wrist and about eight feet tall. is this worth keeping to potentially turn? if so what do i need to do to it?

    Chucks

    I have purchased myself a new chuck from machine mart - the clarke one. After playing with it a bit i have discovered that each grip moves inward individually, and it is difficult to centre it accurately. Any tips on centering with this type of chuck? Thanks

    using a saw to part off

    Upon finishing my ash bowl I didn't have enough room to use my parting tool, and used a tenon saw. Is this good practice? I was debating this with my father and wish to prove him wrong. Any information regarding this would be most appreciated Thanks Roger
