Just thought I'd like to show you guys my finished AS product.

It is a mood lamp designed for use when playing music or in the period of relaxation before you go to bed.

Its a two tone base turned on the lathe (no idea what wood) finished with shellac and furniture wax, with a series of layers of plastic in which LED lights are housed.

Any comments or thoughts welcome.

Nice lamp

The light wood could be Ash and the other maybe Sapele.

The blue bit is not vacuum formed, it is blow moulded.

The plastic is heated in between two layers of ply, the bottom ply has a valve and the top has a circle cut out.

The whole thing is bolted down with wing nuts and sealed with silicon.

Then put it in the oven. once its hot enough take it out and fill with air through the valve.

once it reaches desired expansion, maintain pressure till it hardens
