Dewalt thicknesser type 1

Pickec up a second hand dewalt thicknesser type 1, then bought some brand new blades old ones are not too bad. As with most second hand purchases I like to change the blades etc as you then know what it's capable of. Going to change the blades tomorrow, any one any advice for me on changing over etc, came with no instructions.
