Working out Cubic feet

Im watching some timber on ebay and want to work out how much Im getting in cubic feet before I know how much to bid.

How do I do this?

This is a list

1no 3.6m x 175mm x 50mm
4no 3.6m x 150mm x 50mm
1no 2.2m x 125mm x 50mm
1no 2.2m x 140mm x 50mm
1no 2.2m x 200mm x 50mm

3no 2.1m x 110mm x 30mm
1no 1.55m x 95mm x 50mm
7no 2.1m x 30mm x 25mm

A really easy way is to copy each size into a Google search box and add "in cubic feet."

The answer to the first one is apparently 0.644139521 cubic feet for each board.

Calculate: (3 X 3.2 X 0.19 X 0.03) X 35.31 = 1.93ft³ to two decimal places. That's just one sum, but you should be able to do the rest from the example.

Remember to shift the decimal place three places to the left for any dimension below 1 metre, eg, 190 mm is entered as 0.190 and 30 mm is entered as 0.03, see above: 9 mm should be entered as 0.009. Slainte.

I make it a total of 12.8. Can anyone confirm this to make sure Ive got it right.

I haven't run all the numbers to check your sums, but I should have pointed out in my earlier message that 35.31 is the conversion factor between cubic feet and m³; eg to convert m³ to ft³ multiply by 35.31, and to convert from ft³ to m³ divide the volume by 35.31. My guess is that you realised that quickly enough anyway. Slainte.

I ran the numbers. I make it approx 11.23 but I may well be wrong. Heres my sums for the individual lines: I don't have the will-power to double-check my figures to explain the discrepancy!
