If you mean the melamine edge banding sort then I'd get some which has a heat activated adhesive on the back.

Yes it will be melamine, I installed fitted wardrobes and am making a dressing table to match with the ame material as tge robes so have just glued short bits to ends of facias with evostick the material supplied is not sticky backed.

Contact adhesive. Slap it on both surfaces with a notched spatula, wait for it to dry and fit together. It will never come apart.

Normally, I would agree with you but just last week, I was edging chipboard worktop ends and noticed that the chipboard was drying the contact adhesive out quickly and stopping a decent bond.
So i applied a thin coat of adhesive to seal the bare chipboard ends and when that was dry applied a second coat with the notched applicator as advised and then we had a good bond and no glue line. Regards Rodders

Thanks for replys I have used evostick for any bits I have already done and was really just wondering if there was a better alternative commonly used by the guys that do this regularly
