A lovely piece of walnut from the wood store :)

It looks lovely, I like the grain and the finish.
Interesting that you posted this just now. Look what I cut for myself this morning from a neighbour's fallen walnut tree - I'll be cutting it into rounds on the bandsaw tomorrow and sealing it. If I can keep it from splitting I should have something pretty good in a year or so. Might turn some wet as well.

By the way, I like the ceps. I am a keen forager. I find a lot of bay boletus locally and the occasional cep too. Love them (and love looking for them). :)

Ooh, some lovely walnut there, a great haul 👌🙂

Mushroom foraging is another of my favourite hobbies, got to love free food, as well as free wood ! 😁😂😂

Woohoo! Lovely grain Paulm and nice haul, NN.
Funnily enough, I was about to ask if the image was ceps - my French dad was mad for foraging anything fungi - had about 10 books in English or French. He even taught the late great Carluccio a bit on the subject.
(Though I do remember the occasional lapse of judgement when our family of 7 had excessive lav needs! 🤢)
