I understand they have started demolition at green lane. I wish I had visited the place last year when I meant to.
Does any one live local who could have a nosey to see whats left. Could anyone get me a contact number for any reclamation / demolition company that's there.
thanks

Like Andy says, AR do most demolition work around Leicester, or it could be lost world demolition. Is there anything in particular you're after?

Thanks for the links Andy I contacted the demo company and after explaining that I was a wadkin geek they were happy for me to go down and get some of the flooring. :D

That's the stuff I wanted, its going in my workshop. I was offered some parquet from the board room but I had to cut my visit short because me lady had been taken into hospital and I was 190miles away

These blocks were laid on bitumen like parquet but no where near as thick. I think they must have been dipped in creosote prior to be being laid. I cut one and you can see where its been soaked up the end grain. These blocks were laid in 1920 and are still perfect.
