You might want to consider this one.
Must admit for ease of Use I pick up my dial version, rather than the straight scale one as in the link, then again for the occasions when I can't get my brain around the mixed metric/imperial bits and pieces I use an electronic one with its conversion capabilities.
Can't find a dial version ref. at the moment, I know I picked mine up at a Model Engineering show.
Edit: One or two Dial versions HERE.
Both metric and Imperial.
