Can anyone suggest which filter I need.

I use wipe on finishes, in ventilated room. Spirit stains, shellac, a oil varnish called tru oil - sometimes diluted a bit in white spirit.

I don't know if whats in these are organic or inorganic. I think I probably need the 6059 one which says its for both.

Any help would be great.

do you really need anything with wipe on finishes like that? Maybe foolishness on my part but i have used all of those without a mask on, purposely chosen because they are friendly to the lungs.

NB. I don't have the facility to spray and wouldn't consider doing so without a mask.

I've been noticing throat irritation lately but actually since posting this, I think it may actually have been from sanding down the finish without wearing a mask. I noticed I actually had some of the staining colour in my spit i'd coughed up.

I obviously underestimated the amount of dust that was coming off, I was just sanding down the finish to make it flat and smooth so I didn't think it would be a big deal.

For now I might just try wearing the standard mask more though the wiping varnish i know does cause some irritation if i get too exposed to it.
