Basic question,

can this selfsame jig be used to set the blades in my thicknesser. I tend to think so and wish to get a set; however looking for advice on this.

Any ideas?

What make is your thicknesser? I don't see why you can't use them, after all they reference off the cutter block and not the tables. If you have enough room each side of the blades to attach the jig then I would say yes. HTH.

I take it that you mean the magnetic stirrup shaped setting jig?
If so the first question that comes to mind is whether or not the cutter block is steel or Aluminium. Aluminium is non magnetic.

Roy.

Are the cutterblock and bed perfectly aligned? if so it should work
I'd be tempted to mount a dial indicator in a jig to to the job, design it so that the indicator can be inverted to check the bed/cutterblock alignment aswell
