I've recently started trying to build guitars and wanted to share what I've done so far. Definitely an amateur but having a great time learning from my mistakes.

I like the photos, I take it that the first two are of a bending/clamping jig of sorts. As a fellow amateur, about to embark on building a Hurdy Gurdy, I've spent an inordinate amount of my time making jigs, moulds and clamping devices, without having yet started on the instrument itself.
I think, at times, you just have to "go for it". We all learn from our mistakes, and there is nothing quite like rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in. There is a quote that "If a fool persist in his folly, he will become wise". Mind you, it is never stated, exactly how this might happen - whether we improve - give up - or our folly becomes the new wisdom.:giggle:
