Ive been thinking of buying these doors to separate my sunroom from my dining area. We will be installing new tiles in the sunroom and a timber floor in the dining area. My question is, would it be ok to sink the bottom rail into the floor rather than have it protruding up separating the 2 rooms. I will take into concideration the thicknes of the tiles and timber floor but im thinking maybe ill be left with a very small piece still protruding up and it could potentially be a trip hazard. Thoughts!

can't see why not but have a look in magnets I think the doors might be better value, I have fitted a few and they are quite easy,

By tri doors, do you mean bifolding doors?

If you choose to have a 2 + 1 set, then you can do it with no bottom track.

Its possible with bifold doors if you have a top hung set and a bottom guide track, to fit the bottom guide track on its own with no threshold, just set it level with the floor finish.

It does depend on make of hardware of course. And you need a dead level floor.
