Personally I would display them in a mirrored environment, with the aim of enhancing the contrast between the sides that is diminished somewhat when viewed from either side.

Hi all.

This is something i made some time ago i was acused of wasting a hollow form,spoiling good wood .It is a simular theme and i thought it looked good.
The two halfes are on a black backing board.
Before anyone askes no the have not been hollowed out :lol:

Far from it in my eyes George, as a display piece it works well to show the beauty of the wood.
It's no different to a stone or wood carved frieze, I would not expect either to be hollowed out.

I don't like the second one as much as the first, I think for it to be the reverse of the first one the ball should be textured and matt as per the form of the first one.

As for the mounted form I still like it.
