Does anyone know of a good supplier of good quality transfers the type you apply with a bit of water and heat not stickers.
I am looking for chickens in particular.
Thanks in advance.

If you can't find what you want it is possible to make your own waterslide transfers / decals. You can buy clear transfer sheets and print images from a laser printer. Cut them out and apply to your chosen item, for best results apply to a gloss surface, this helps prevent air from being trapped behind and causing a silvering effect around the image, seal with the finish of your choice

Agreed on the gloss surface - another trick is to prick the transfer ever so slightly with a sharp pin after it's applied, which allows the air to escape more easily. Best approach to sealing IMO is to use an acrylic or polyurethane lacquer over the surface to apply the transfer to and then another coat or two of the same lacquer over the top of the transfer.

You can get inkjet kits for making your own waterslide decals as well, but you need to spray them with lacquer before trying to apply them as the water would normally make the ink run. Just bear in mind that with inkjets or laser printers you won't be able to print white, so home-made decals (without access to specialist printing equipment) will only be able to darken the surface beneath, never lighten it.

Thanks for the replies.
I have a supplier of transfers for country scenes and the quality is superb far better than anything you could produce yourself however they do not do chickens and I have a few projects in mind for chicken related items but I am still looking for transfers of the same quality that are chicken related.
