Finished this little lot today I needed the bud vases for my stall as I sold out of them at the last show.

The bowl is unknown wood but the vases are 2 mahogany 1 laburnum and 1 oak, there was going to be 2 oak but 1 had a split I thought that I had managed to turn it out. This is how I display them with the flowers

Like the variety of form, looks like a relaxing time on the lathe, one of those "Let's Do It" sessions where things can simply go with the flow.

Thank you both and yes it was a case of find odd bits that I cut off some bowl blanks where the wood was longer than the width but not that long I could get another bowl from it but ideal for these, or where a square bowl blank developed a split which makes it too dangerous to turn. I don't believe in throwing away those odd bits as they have a home somewhere.

Dalboy, it's strange how fickle folks can be; on two occasions I displayed bud vases with flowers/grasses in and none sold but within minutes of removing the flowers I sold a few.
I like the simple shapes of yours and hope they all find good homes.

They look really smart. The second from the left is my favourite ;)
