Swmbo testing it :)

That looks great, love the style of it.

I've just picked up a pile of iroko and was thinking of using it for something in the garden.

Matt.

Nice job and SWMBO looks like she likes it which is always a good sign

That looks really good - much better in the right setting than I expected from your drawings.

Bet your dog is loving the heat!

Cheers

Tim

edit:

just spotted the other massive dog behind the swing! Are they newfies?

Very nice,your lordship :D

I take it the frame is stable enough against side forces without diagonal braces? (as mentioned in your frame design thread)

Andrew

Many thanks to all for the kind comments.

Matt: Yes I did do the frame in iroko, used liberon G Mohogany stain to get it to the teak seat colour then just wacked on a coat of teak oil.

Gill & Paul: Thank you very much.

Tim: The dogs had just been for a swim (oh the pong) but they do suffer from the heat. Yes they are Newfs

Waterhead: A canopy is on the drawing board, we've got a cover for it already.

Powertool: Yes the long wedged mortice/tennons on the rails have dealt well with side forces, but I do have a concern with the smaller tennons on the lower mid rail, I just might have to add a piece on the end of the tennons to stop it splitting when the wedges are hammered in tight.

Looks Nice. Just finished at the right time too :D
I couldn't have one - my kids would have it vertical

Nice Dogs too. I'll bet they take some walking!

Lee.

Newfs dont do walking, just swimming, the only problem is getting them out of the sea though
