I have an Elektra Beckum PK200.
This morning I was ripping a couple of pieces of pear (11mm thick) and after the saw had cut the timber, the blade appeared to speed up.
Thinking it was me, I started the saw again with no timber and again after a few seconds it speeded up again. The sound of the saw is noticeably higher and there is more draught (when my dust extractor is off).
I’ve checked the blade is OK and mounted securely, the only thing I’ve noticed (which could well be my imagination) is there could be a very slight electrical smell as you might get from bushes.
Can anybody suggest what this might be please?
The saw does obviously work but the change in speed / sound is really disconcerting.
Thanks.
