Summer lounge

I live in the countryside, in Sardinia the climate is mild throughout most of
year, my house has a garden around it, and I was missing a covered but open area to spend the summer and to enjoy the green space around.

So I decided to build what you Britons call a Summer lounge, if I remember well (sorry, my English is not at all good...).

Wow! That's a huge and impressive construction. It must have taken some muscle lifting it all into place. It looks great. Nice rich coloured finish.

That is one hell of a project, there seems to be some cranes missing from the photos!

Yessssss.....

I had to hire a crane to place the trusses on top of the pillars.....

Otherwise, the construction was quite straightforward.

But I have to confess: I'm a Civil Engineer, with a specialization in design of wooden structures.....generally I just design them, in this case I also build it......
