Stain on coffee table

Hi

My daughter has a coffee table which is made out of rubberwood. She accidentally left a pink highlighter on it, spilled some water on the table and somehow it has stained it in that area Pink. Does anyone know if there is anything that will get it off without damaging the table?

Try using a warm iron on brown paper over the stain area. It works well on veneers and polished surfaces for water stains, but I am not sure about the pink colour.

It will not do any harm to try it.

Sorry I did not let you know the outcome, unfortunately it did not work. Goodness knows what is in the highlighter to cause such a stain. To hide it she has placed her telephone on the table.

heres one i use on my own table, watered down bleach, this is with felt tips, all the time,all colours (blo*dy kids) i use it neat now, its only a thick pine table (NOT EXOTIC WOOD!!)
