Specializing

hi,

What are peoples thoughts on specializing in certain aspects of carpentry/joinery? for example is specializing in floors and flooring,(not a fan of fitting floors...back breaker haha) or specializing in doors etc a good idea?

The area in which you work can vary so much as to what to specialise in that can give you a good living.
My first question is, can you really be happy doing the same old every day, day after day?
I like to be entertained at work because I enjoy what i do. and the day to day variations.
Some days are a Bummer, but most are a good and enjoyable interlude between breakfast and my evening meal!
Specialise in what you enjoy doing and pays you best. Regards Rodders
