I bought some oak from the Pugh auction in Ledbury on the weekend. Looking at some of the pieces I noticed the discolouration you can see on the picture below.
It looks to me like spalted wood. Anybody agree? Or disagree?
I do not find it particularly attractive but if anybody else does they are welcome to it. I live in Redditch, about 20 miles south of Birmingham, so if anybody is fairly local and can collect it, take it. There is not a lot maybe 6 pieces of varying dicolouration.
