Timberline nr Tunbridge Wells should have Satinwood but you may have to buy a larger plank.

I got some 2x2 from there but in shorter lengths (around a foot or so IIRC), I don't recall seeing any that long but worth asking anyway.
You will need to let it dry very gently if you want to keep it this thick. I brought some into my shop (RH 45-50%) and it cracked badly the first time. Of course the grain goes everywhere..a great test of how well tuned your plane is too!

One tip for cleaning it up is use a sharp cabinet scraper :wink:

By the way have you thought about veneering some timber instead of solid, as it will be more stable?
