I learned this from another swedish guy a couple of years ago. Did quite some searching before making a video about it and this method doesn't seem very well known. It's maybe not new in any way, but I think it deserved a video. Since I learned this method I use it for almost all router templates, from small tasks like recessing hinges to larger tasks like shaping on the router table.

Super simple method. Layout the hole you want to make, make saw cuts partially through the template. Roughly remove the waste inside the hole using jigsaw (or bandsaw if an open construction) and finish up with a bearing guided bit to copy the scoring lines through the template. This is accurate, very quick and simple and steps and angles are easily achieved. Four pictures to illustrate, much more info in the video.
