Rough Sawn Hardwood WEST LONDON ??

Hi

Anyone knows a good place to buy rough sawn hardwood near Ealing area in london?
I don't want any fancy or exotic hardwood, just the good old british kiln dried hardwood.

Have you tried Hanson's on the Uxbridge Rd Hanwell/Southall they used to be a good timber merchant's.

Go into the "Reference & Information Stickies" at the top of this section. There you'll find a post listing loads of recommended timber yards that represents a lot of work from a lot of people on this forum. Within that post you'll discover Moss & Co in Perivale, a top drawer timber yard from the old school and just down the road from you.

I always found Moss to be very expensive, but maybe the quality of their stock combined with their overheads might explain that. E Roberts timber in the Edmonton area are, I think, well worth a call; not local I admit, but a not unreasonable jaunt around the north circular....
