Recycled firewood

A few chunks of a large cherry tree was cut up for fire logs which I salvaged.
Then decided in a un-conventional turning. I was pleased with the end result

The waste from the centre filled 2 drums on the vacuum

I like that a lot. How difficult was it to finish the burr sections and what finish did you use?

Nice clean looking work. I don't know how long it has been down but if you see the bark beginning to separate from the wood, pour some CA glue down inside and clamp.

Lovely piece of firewood there richard . . . Great job. I love how you've left the bark on the bottom, agree with pete though it made need a little persuading with ca glie to stay attached.
