Bob,

I completed my first ever fully flat bottomed platter yesterday and then watched your video this morning. I guess it should have been the other way round!! However, I am pleased to say that I did largely what you demonstrated in your excellent videos, other than I have left the bottom recess in place as I do not have a donut chuck - maybe something for me to make in the future.

Hi Bob . I just watched your vid , as well as having watched a few others since I joined up here. Just now noticed you are a fellow Ontarian. I am located on the shores of Lake Huron near Kincardine. Nice to see another Canuck , and a celebrity on youtube as well on these pages. Keep on posting vids sir and I may yet take the turning plunge with your help. I am presently thinking of making a treadle lathe much like Roy Underhills (when I can commandeer the necessary shop space that is). Thanks again amigo.
