Bit of a gloat.
My new edgebander turned up last week.
Auction win (not ebay), it's in mint condition for a 2008, I did get a mate to check it out before bidding, I'm down south the machine was in yorkshire.
£220 to get it shipped down.
Runs a treat.
I already had an edgebander but a hot air one, this is a hot melt, also has cut off saws rather than the guillotines on my old one.
Should be able to use plastic edging now and up to 5mm solid timber edges and it can also round the edges if required

I knew you would all be interested, maybe I should have stuck a rosewood handle on it somewhere or discussed what angle the disposable tips are .........

Yes, he is very good.
Fits in well, works hard and I can tell he has ability.
We are currently advertising for another experienced cabinet maker and may well take on another apprentice in the spring, we seem to be mentally busy at present.

Having spent a chunk of today putting hardwood lipping onto a couple of large shelf units, I can definitely see the appeal ;) Then again, I'm guessing it takes up a bit more space than a bottle of Polyten, a roll of masking tape, a throw-away brush and a few lengths of 25 x 6mm D-profile :)

Nice piece of kit though - I'm sure you can keep it busy ;)

Cheers, Pete

What's special about that? Same as mine isn't it  Nice bit of kit though :)

They won't let you sell it on here you are trade!

OK, thanks for letting me know. I think my mates on the other forum are more likely to want it anyway.

That actually isn't mine. I used the pic 'cos I don't have one handy though mine is identical and was bought s/h off the bay. It's missing the handle bit for the cutter which is a pity.
I can't see the wattage of the Axi machine. The "gun" on mine is 2000 wt

It works very well and a lot more effective and much quicker than an iron but you need to get the hang of it, especially the feed rate. I don;t use mine often but it's one of those tools that's there when and as it's needed and I'm happy with it.

I think by trade it's meant to mean trader/dealer in machinery can't sell on the forum, DB is in the furniture trade ie making and selling furniture. So I don't see why he can't sell here.

Hi, you're a business disposing of equipment. Please read the guidelines here:

market-place-guidelines-please-read-before-posting-28-10-12-t54359.html

and specifically item 1.

Thanks

Noel

Please clarify a Comercial sale. I am a woodworker selling redundant and or surplus tools owned by myself.
I am not a dealer. Take a look at me at http://www.rushworth.uk.com

The above was the question I asked after my add was removed.
I am not a machine dealer I am a Joinery manufacturer as DB.

Please don't make this an issue on my behalf, I'm fine with the rules .......... a few years ago I wasn't but the mods put me in this treatment place and gave me lots of therapy and drugs and now ..... well somehow it just feels groovy man

  Still confusing though. They let me sell my van a couple of years ago, very definately a tool of my business and I did ask permision first so it didn't slip through :?

So... I own a business and a lot of my tools crossover between work and hobby. Say I wanted to sell a dewalt drill or my now redundant paslode, does that mean i can't list them?
