I was so pleased at getting hold of a union graduate lathe after searching for a while that I called myself graduate_owner. However it's not so easy to take part in this sort of game when you have a long name. Anyhow I'll give it a go (and no peeking at others' answers)

George Michael
Rory Gallagher
Alvin Stardust
Danny Williams
Union Gap (and Gary Puckett) - is that allowed?
Andy Williams
Tom Jones
Eurythmics
Overlanders (The)
Will Young
New Seekers (The)
Emmy Lou Harris
Rod Stewart

Managed it - not sure about the U though. Good game. Could be altered too, perhaps actors/actresses instead, or song titles, or Films / TV programmes.

Nice one Baldhead

Hi Random Orbit Bob. It took me quite a while to think of Union Gap (being of pensionable age and not familiar with pop music sinve the early 70's but I did recognise Ultravox from other responses, also Uriah Heap. I seem to remember the Undertones.

Nice game.

Could try groups or singers with first or surnames ending in the letters of your name.

G - Bing Crosby
R - Roger Miller
A - Shania Twain
D - Screaming Lord Sutch
U - Mireille Mathieu (anyone remember her?)
A - Donna Summers
T - Scott McKenzie
E - Michael Buble

O - Bobby Shafto (or Helen Shapiro)
W - the Foggy Dew Band
N - Manfred Mann
E - Lesley Gore
R - Manfred Mann

That took me quite a while.

Oh yes, how did that happen? I meant to write

R - the Beatles. (or perhaps Rolling Stones / Rod Stewart)
